Bellori is an international auction house providing a neutral and reliable framework for the transfer of privately held cultural and collectible objects between owners. The objects we handle typically originate from estates, private collections, and long-held household property.
We operate platform-first, presenting auctions primarily through established international online auction platforms. Rather than acting as an intermediary with its own inventory, Bellori functions as a procedural facilitator, ensuring that objects entering the secondary market are presented clearly, traded transparently, and transferred responsibly.
Our focus is on accuracy, consistency, and process. Bellori does not seek to interpret objects or shape taste. Once the framework is in place, the market determines outcomes.
Objects
We handle a broad range of estate and collection property. While our current strengths include ceramics and porcelain, our scope is intentionally flexible and allows for varied material categories.
Objects handled by Bellori include, but are not limited to:
- Ceramics and porcelain
- Decorative objects and design
- Jewellery and small collectibles
- Books, printed material, and ephemera
- Mixed estate property and curated groups
Each object is assessed individually and presented according to its material, condition, and market context, without emphasis on narrative or promotion.
Process
Bellori operates strictly as an auction house, not as a dealer or gallery. Objects are described factually, estimates are set conservatively, and results are determined through open-market bidding.
Our process is defined by a small number of consistent principles:
- Platform-first auctions with international reach
- Factual descriptions and clear condition reporting
- Transparent terms for payment, collection, and post-sale handling
We do not guide bidding behavior, promise outcomes, or position objects as investments. The role of the auction house is to provide structure; the role of the market is to establish value.
Logistics
All objects are located in Budapest, Hungary (European Union). Shipping and export are treated as practical components of the transaction rather than as selling features.
- In-house packing and shipping is available for most lots
- Buyers may also arrange independent shipping if preferred
- Shipping, taxes, and import duties are the responsibility of the buyer
- Collection and dispatch timing is communicated after payment
For international buyers, we provide standard documentation and coordination required for export and courier workflows, in line with applicable regulations.
